General

Welcome to the cabin!

  • Crystal Lakes is a private community, when heading up please be sure to follow these rules.
  • A visitors guest pass and vehicle sticker are required to enter. Vehicle stickers are available at the Base Camp Office with your signed guest pass.
  • Base Camp is the main office when you enter Crystal Lakes off Tami Road. There you can find vehicle passes, fishing passes, general information, etc.
  • Please observe all fishing regulations while fishing. Prior to fishing you will first have to obtain a fishing pass from either Base Camp or online Crystal Lakes website.
  • Driveway – our driveway is not for the faint of heart. While you could easily drive a Honda Civic (in good weather) be prepared for a bit of excitement when arriving. We find it best to park up top (once things level out). We typically unload groceries at the front door, then either pull forward towards the garage or back up and pull into the pulluot. Pulling forward is more important on busy weekends with multiple vehicles.
  • Kitchen, we should have most everything you need in the kitchen. Pots, pans, plates, utensils, etc. We have a coffee maker, crockpot, bbq grill, even a homemade ice maker!
  • Hot Tub – When you’re done soaking add 1-tsp of chemical for each user. Also, make sure the cover is snapped otherwise the wind will try to blow it to Fort Collins!
  • Altitude sickness – Our cabin sits right at 9,000ft. In adults, signs of altitude sickness include headache, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, dizziness, shortness of breath, and problems sleeping. Keep hydrated (they say beer doesn’t count 😒) and if problems persist descend in elevation.
  • Bear Aware – Please keep all food in bear proof containers and/or inside the cabin. While we haven’t yet seen a bear on the property we have seen tracks walking up the driveway.
